First established in 1968, Matawhero wines defied convention and made wines of boutique standing and international acclaim and in doing so, changed the face of New Zealand winemaking forever. Since its first vintage in 1975, Matawhero has produced many excellent and often adventurous wines.

Crafted with 100% Pinot Noir Grapes, harvested from the Bendigo and Pisa sub-regions of Central Otago. Cool fermentation and partial maturation in neutral oak has led to a wine bursting with fresh watermelon, cherry blossom, and fennel aromas, packed with vibrant strawberry and citrus on the palate, perfectly balanced by mouth-watering, crisp acidity and a lingering finish.

This Pinot Rosé displays a lovely red rose petal, whilst the aroma talks of ripe raspberry and strawberry notes. On the palate the wine leads with dry textural red cherry, developing into a richly textured mid-palate; brambly raspberry notes drive the finish of the wine.

A bright watermelon colour with a bouquet of punchy strawberry and raspberry notes, complemented by red apple and jasmine blossom along with a touch of yellow fleshed peach. On the palate, vibrant red fruits of the forest along with a touch of sweetness introduce the wine, flowing into a juicy mid-palate with white peach notes and the wine is driven by red cherry and berry in harmony with natural acidity.

Made from 100% Central Otago Pinot Noir fruit, lightly pressed to extract just enough colour to deliver the provencal-esque pale pink. Fermented dry to allow the delicate Pinot red fruit characters and cool climate minerality to hop across your palate.
